Cultural Notes
Thai days of the week are named after colors and celestial bodies. Sunday (วันอาทิตย์) is named after the sun, Monday (วันจันทร์) after the moon, and so on. The word 'วัน' (wan) means 'day'. When asking about availability, 'ว่าง' (wâang) means 'free' or 'available'. Thai people often use 'วันไหนบ้าง' (wan nǎi bâang) to ask 'which days' in a plural sense.
