Thai months are named after zodiac signs and have both formal and informal names. The word 'เดือน' (dəən) means 'month'. Thailand has three main seasons: hot season (ฤดูร้อน) from March to May, rainy season (ฤดูฝน) from June to October, and cool season (ฤดูหนาว) from November to February.
